Known worldwide for
its red rock beauty, the community of Sedona sits in the heart
of north central Arizona. 120 miles north of Phoenix and
30 miles south of Flagstaff, at an elevation of 4,500 feet
above sea level. Sedona enjoys four delightfully mild
seasons. The breathtaking natural beauty, climate, clean
air and water combine to make Sedona a sought after cultural
mecca, which continues to attract artists, writers,
entrepreneurs and retirees, as well as visitors.
Sedona is located in both Coconino
and Yavapai Counties and is completely surrounded by the
Coconino National Forest. The community contains
approximately 15 square miles of private property, of which
60% is in the City of Sedona. Most of the
remaining unincorporated area is located in the Village of Oak
Creek/Big Park area, south of Sedona.
Sedona offers the visitor a full
range of resort amenities: accommodations to suit all
pocketbooks, dining that ranges from casual to gourmet (with a
wide variety of cuisine), unlimited recreational opportunities
and, of course, the incomparable beauty of the Red
Rocks. |
